Need advice! Traveling injury? From cycling or running. Is it safe to work out?
Posted by: | CommentsI wouldn’t call it ‘pain’ maybe soreness/tenderness. It started out in my glutes, down the hamstring area, in the back of the knee, seeming to follow the sciatic nerve. Then after 2 days of ibuprofen, staying off it, and stretching, that initial soreness is gone- the irritated area seems to have traveled!
Now it’s very tender in the FRONT of my leg, from my hip down my quads to my knee, the initial irritated area is fine now.
I’m wondering why it traveled, if i should stay off of it, what exercise i CAN do (weights? elliptical at low incline? bike? run? )
Could it be from going really fast on a bike? I usually don’t go that fast on gym bikes, but i was really pressing DOWNward on the pedal and going fast, instead of in more circular motions. I’ve also been running a lot, but that didn’t seem to be bothering my body.
How do I know if it’s a ligament or a muscle or what?
Thanks for any insight.
