Being the idiot that I am, I spent Sunday out on the boat without sunscreen, and am now suffering from excruciating second degree burns all over my upper torso, front and back, neck to waist. The tops of my shoulders and back have developed blisters and are gradually spreading to the rest of my upper body, and I’m going on my third day having slept under an hour each night, as the pain is next to unbearable. I’ve seen a dermatologist, received a prescription for treatment, but I’m curious to see if anyone has any clever home remedies to relieve the pain while the meds can do their work? I’ve tried Solarcaine, Lidocaine, Aloe Vera, and just about everything else I can think of. Any suggestions that may get me a few hours of relief to catch some sleep would be much appreciated, thanks!
